It has been five years since Rob visited us on the podcast and he and his family are celebrating 35 years as a business! Rob and his wife Donna are some of the hardest working people on the planet and have built one of the best outfitting businesses in the province of Saskatchewan.
They make Last Mountain Lake their headquarters and provide a multitude of fishing and hunting opportunities. It doesn’t hurt that this natural lake just north of Regina just keeps producing outstanding fishing for a number of species.
Last Mountain Lake is one of the best walleye lakes in the world and the carp and pike fishing isn’t too shabby either.
Robert Schulz grew up on the shores of Last Mountain on a family farm. Every spare moment was spent fishing this large natural lake. Rob had a vision of what this lake could be and went on build a family business. G&S Marina Outfitters is the name of their operation, and it is located at Rowans Ravine Provincial Park near the middle of the lake.
G&S has it all, boats and cabins for rent, and a general store which is stocked with a wide variety of goods.
Rob became the only Master Certified Outfitter on the lake and guides for both fish and waterfowl. I have known them both for over thirty years and Rob is one of the best anglers I have had a chance to spend time in the boat with.
